What style is Grammar Check governed by?

Is Grammer Check written in a specific manuscript style...Chicago, AP, etc.,
or a combination?

It's governed by the settings you choose on Tools > Options > Spelling &
Grammar > Settings. The algorithm was originally developed by Houghton
Mifflin and presumably represented their house style.
