What version of MS Office should I buy for Windows XP Pro?

I have purchased a refurbed laptop with Windows XP Pro. Unsure about which
version of MS Office to buy.

Are there any options, or will MS Office 2007 be my only choice?

Office 2007 is the current one still being sold.

Versions prior to Office 2007 can only be sourced from companies who may
have old stock, or individuals who are selling retail versions that they own

I am using Vista Ultimate and MS Office 2007...

Frankly, if I were you I would find a 2003 Office Professional in lieu of
Office 2007.. The latter is frustrating and difficult to use in comparison
since they eliminated the menu bar and went to the totally ridiculous
Ribbon which makes it difficult to find functions that you could easily
find in 2003.

There are a number of places you can buy 2003 at reduced prices and
if you've had Office before, buy the upgrade version. When installing,
use the old version CD in D drive for reference.

Some may disagree but just use Google and "Office 2007 reviews"

If you decide on Office 2003, the OEM (original equipment
manufacture) option would be okay.. They are selling Office 2003 Pro for
$59.99...

If you opt to go with Microsoft Office 2007 here is a great buy if you are a
student...
Microsoft is selling Microsoft Office 2007 ULTIMATE for $59.95 (they say it
is
91% off MSRP) .. Limited time

If not, perhaps you know one... :) :) :)
