What version with what animation?

Is anyone aware of a chart or table that shows what version added a
custom animation effect? For example, 'disappear' works in my
presentation with PPT 2003, but not in some earlier versions.

I have developed a large presentation and am testing with a variety of
users. Such a table would be very useful. Suggestions?

Peter,

in short
powerpoint 2002 (aka xp) and 2003 allow animations that 'remove' something
from the screen.

previous versions do not allow this.

If you want to go for maximum compatibility, there is an option in
powerpoint 2003 to turn off the new features (animations for example)

tools > options > edit > disable new features
