Can somebody please help,
I cannot find any information on the MS website informing of what the
differences between Project Pro/Server/Standard.
Does anyone know? Know any good sites with this info?

Main info required:

When using server (with CALs) do you have to use Pro to connect to it, or
can a web browser be used?
What fuctionallity is lost when using web browser?

Many thanks,

Andy Johnson

The starter summary of difference is published at
http://www.microsoft.com/office/project/evaluation/compare.asp

When using the server, my understanding is that you can use either or
both Pro and web browser. all users require licensing. I think that
choice of using "pro" or web browser is a function of what you want to
do, who you are, etc.

Perhaps the best thing to do is step back and decide how your
organisation current works, how you want it to work, how you use Project
to do it this way, and how you can learn from what Project does to help
import your organisation...

Project pro has an enhanced featureset for enterprise
resource management, and a slew of other features (that
you may or may not need). Project 2002 Standard is
adequate for many company needs. Server is the backend to
allow online (web-based) collaboration. Any user of
project Web Access (project server) will require either MS
Project (pro or standard), or a CAL. There's plenty of
info at http://www.microsoft.com/office/project/default.asp
