when create and run rule - outlookslow

Hi,
I'm using outlook 2003 in which when I try to create rules and then run it's
taking long time to run the rule even for 10 mails.
Can any one help why this happening?

It's hard to say what's going on without any details.
How many rules do you have configured?
What do these rules do?
Are you just running it against a folder that contains 10 emails?

Do you have a virus scanner installed which integrates itself with Outlook?
Uninstall this integration part of your virus scanner and try again; you'd
still be sufficiently protected by your on-access scanner part of the virus
