We use Access 2003 and I have form A linked to Form B based on a command
button, when using the command button on Form A to open Form B, if form B has
not been opened before I would like to have Form B fill in the project number
that is being used to open Form A. For example:
Situation 1)
On the Project Update Form (form A) Project No is 3456 has work completed
and now an ECN will be issued. Using the command button to create an ECN on
the Project form a blank ECN form (form B) is opened because none currently
exists and in the Project No field 3456 is automatically entered.
Situation 2)
No Engineering Project No 3456 (form A) has additional work completed and a
Second ECN will be generated using the command button on the project form.
The ECN opens to the first ECN (Form B) generated and then the "create new
ECN" command button is clicked and then the project no should automatically
be entered into the project no field on the second ECN.
How do I accomplish this?
