when will Microsoft Office support 64 bit CPUs (non-Itanium)?

Thanx for the link.

So, there will be an Office 12 beta or Office 2003 SP2 sometime next year
supporting 64 bit architecture??

Microsoft has not released any public statements on either the Office
12 beta or Office 2003 SP2. Bink's site is purely speculation and it
even states it is based on assumption.

I've heard of no plans to make Office a 64 bit application? One reason
is that current versions of Office runs very nicely on Windows XP64 as
does most 32 bit software.

I suppose a 64 bit version of Office *might* be a little faster(?) but
I won't be able to type any faster so.... I'm happy with the current
versions.
