when you do a upgrade does the layout change

i downloaded office 2003 from the internet, from microsoft.com how do you
know if it has been successful or not. does the layout of word change.

From the Help Menu, select About Microsoft Office Word and it will tell you
what version you have.

AFAIK, Office 2003 is not available for download from Microsoft.com, but
just for your information, when I do the above, it displays:

Microsoft Office Word 2003 (11.6359.6360) SP1
