Where are my colors and pics?

Okay, now that I got my 1st page of my website to look like I want it in
Frontpage, I got to upload it to my hosting site and I did a preview and my
background color is not there neither is my .jpg pics. What did I do wrong?
When I got to edit the file within my file manager, the HTML code is the same
as in Frontpage. The extensions have already been generated. Thanks.

What I did was to go to my file manager on my server and upload the
individual files that I wanted. I only wanted the first page as it is under
construction. I opened the web folder in Frontpage and all of my files were
present. I then clicked publish to web and typed in my http site for
maintaining my website on my server. A message came came back and said "the
server you are publishing to does not have the Frontpage Server Extensions
installed, and therefore does not support publishing via HTTP". But I
installed them from my server and it says FrontPage server extensions are
currently installed.

I would recommend publishing again and letting FrontPage publish everything via http://

You can always delete files from the server later vie FrontPage or your File manager

I, too, have a problem with one of the .gif files on my web site. The .gif
file is in the images folder on my web site, but when the web page, the
graphic is missing. The outline of the gif is there, and you can click on the
outline and execute the click through link, but the gif is missing. How do
you solve this little problem?

1. Make sure the link to the gif is *not* pointing back to your hard drive. You can do this by
right clicking the image space on the live page and then selecting properties. If the source starts
with file/// that's the problem.

If it is, open FrontPage , then your web, then the page. Remove the image, save the page and then
reinsert the image and save the page.
Then publish.

If still not fixed, try renaming the image. It seems that some pup up blockers are fussy about
image names.

I made the correction that you suggested and that fixed the problem with the
graphic. However, another problem surfaced on that same page. The click
through links at the bottom of the page no longer have the graphics. The
funny thing is, it is only a problem on this particular page, all of the rest
of the pages display correctly. The link page is a separate page titled
"bottom.htm" so that it is available to every page.

I went to the index page (and other pages too) and right clicked on the link
button, then clicked properties to see the url. Here is what it reported.

http://lowpricecalling.com/derived/(page name of the particular
button).htm_comp_ice000_hbtn.gif.

On the problem page (Opex) I again right clicked on the link button, then
clicked on the properties tab to see the url. Here is the message on that
page.

http://cognigen.net/derived/(page name of the particular
button).htm_comp_ice000_hbtn.gif.

My question is: Why is this different than the url on other pages, and how
can I change it to match the index (and other) page(s)?

I would Recalculate hyperlinks and then republish.

Tools > Recalculate hyperlinks.
