Where are the configuration/setup/init files and what are they nam

I recently had to reload Office. I tailor my tool bars to my liking, and
reloading was quite a chore to get them back where (I think) I had them. I
also had to recreate all my preferences and etc.

Can anyone tell me what files I would need to back-up so that I could just
restore them and have my old Office product configurations "instantly".
Also, are the configuration files for Office 2000 compatible with Office XP
and vice-versa?

I am primarily concerned with Access, Excel, and Word, since that is where I
have done the most customizing.

Thanks.

Most of Word's setup are stored in the Normal.dot template file (search your
system for the file.) It also appears that there are settings stored in a
file Excel11.pip Access11 and Word11.pip which are located in the Documents
and Settings\XXXXX\Application Data\Microsoft Office (where XXXXX is the
user name).

May be more but these are some of the locations and file names.
