where can I find exciting backgrounds for Powerpoint slides?

I want something completely different than what is currently offered as a
background for my slides - like a curtain, wave, etc. Any ideas?

You might take a look at OfficeFX from Instant Effects. It's a 3D add on to
PowerPoint. Its FXThemes provide animated 3D backgrounds and transitions.
OfficeFX does require a capable 3D graphics system like that required to run
