Where did the Thumbs Up emoticon go?

J

Jack

I just transitioned from Windows Messenger to Office Communicator and I'm
missing a number of emoticons.

First, why was the (y) changed from thumbs up to an award ribbon. I really
miss the thumbs up and thumbs down emoticons.

I also miss the beer mug for (b). The martini for (d) is still there so it
isn't some statement about alcohol. I found the beer mug more commonly used
than the martini.

As a final note, where did the emoticon help screen go? In Messenger the
online help had the keyboard versions of all of the available emoticons, even
those that were not displayed in the menu. However, there is no equivalent in
Communicator. I used to have a printout of that help file on my cubicle wall
next to my monitor. I could glance over there and get the keyboard equivalent
so I could quickly add the emoticon to my conversation without reaching for
my mouse.

Please let me know if you have information on any of these issues. Thank you.

Hi Jack,

The MS Office Communicator and MS Windows Messenger products are separate, so neither has all of the features of the other. For
questions on MS Office Communicator you may want to also post in that newsgroup using the link below.
