Where did my color go?

Hi...I have recently begun to use Publisher 2007 to send out a monthly
newsletter to my clients. I made a 2-page newsletter and found it all very
easy - however - when I have saved it as a PDF, or tried to mail it as an
attachment, the fonts only show in black - not the color I chose. I have gone
to every menu item to see why, but have found nothing. The background color
and lines between articles all print in color. My logo prints in color..but
where I have put type in red, or blue or bold, it's all black.

Also - is there a way to reduce the file size. Right now it's 588kb, which
seems a bit large, but I didn't see a way to reduce it for mailing.

One more thing - when I select the 'email' tab, Office never opens...the
little circle just turns and turns, and then I see a 'program not responding'
at the top of the Publisher page...what's up with that?

Thanks - Pam

Hi, Mary - you know, all of my updates happen automatically at night...how do
I know which service pack I have? As for the PDF, it's the selection under
the menu where it says save as PDF or XPS. Thanks for your help.

I haven't a clue why your fonts are not colored. Is it any font? Does the color
show on your copy of the PDF and not on the recipient's?
There is a picture compression tool on the picture toolbar, it will help making
your file smaller.

One of the fonts is Arial. Another is Comic Sans. And the other is Jokerman.
I only have two pictures that the text is wrapped around, but they are like
an inch square. On my PDF copy, these fonts still have no color. All of the
type is black and white, but the borders around the text boxes and the color
of the boxes is correct. Any other ideas? I'm very new to Publisher, so maybe
I've just missed something. Perhaps I could send you one page so you could
see what I'm talking about...And I did make sure I had PDF add on dowloaded.
thanks again. Pam

Have you tried changing your default printer? (If it is a black and
white one, try a colour one.)

Sure you can send me the Publisher file. I will convert it too and see if works
here.
