NOW THERE IS NO MENU BAR, JUST "EXCEL" so I can't go to VIEW and de-customize, nor even get into Preferences. Have already tried close/reboot, and even REINSTALLED Excel but NOTHING IS WORKING. NO
problem with Word etc just Excel.

Do you have any Toolbars displayed? If so you can just Control+Click one of
the vertical separator lines, select Customize Toolbars/Menus, then go to
the Toolbars page. Select the name of the Worksheet Menu Bar, click the
Reset button. All should be restored when you OK out.

Reinstalling rarely does fix anything because the applications & files
installed aren't the ones which are responsible for the problems... In fact,
if you didn't run Remove Office *first* reinstalling did nothing but set you
back to 11.0.0 & get your disk permissions out of whack.

If you haven't already done so, reapply the 11.5 update then repair disk
permissions & restart your Mac.
