I have just made two very simple templates using Word 2003, and deposited
them in a directory designated for shared files. I adjusted the margins,
changed the font, and pasted in three images. That's it.
Half of the people who try to open them are able to use them without a
single hitch, but the other half can't load TWO of the three .jpg images.
(Getting Red X instead). I'm assuming that the defining factor between the
two groups is an older version of Word.
I'd like to make these templates useable to everybody without forcing those
with older versions to update (budget = low). Any ideas why two of the three
images would disappear, and not all three? My only two guesses are that it's
somehow related to either the filesize of the image (the one that shows up is
a smaller hunk of data), or the physical placement of the images on the page
(the two that disappear are no the left edge of the paper).
Thanks!
