Why are none of my word documents available to me?

I keep recieving the same error message when i try to open any word document:
The file ____ is not available.
please tell me what this means and what i can do to change that.

If you're using Norton AntiVirus, disable its Office Plug-in.

Disable the Office Plugin that comes with Symantec/Norton AntiVirus.
