Why do duplicate emails appear when saved in a personal folder?

When I choose to save an email, I will drag and drop into an appropriate
personal folder. Every time that I do this, the same email message appears
twice. How do I stop this from happening? I am using Microsoft Outlook.

Where do the messages appear twice -- once in the original folder and once in
the new folder? Are you talking about moving items between .PST files (or
between an Exchange mailbox and a .PST file) or just between folders in the
same .PST file?
