why does a file become very large after saving it?

when I save a old file as a new file without doing any change, the file
become very large( almost double size)
for example 6 MB become 10 MB
I don't know how to solve this problem

If your saving for backward compatibility to PowerPoint 95 you will get a very
large file.

Do you have Fast Saves turned on? Check out Tools--> Options--> Save tab, if
the box is checked - uncheck it. Resave the file with a new name and see if
that helps.
