why doesn't my embedded bitmap print?

I received a Word document with three pages that each contain a title and a
map graphic which is a bitmap I assume. When I print it prints the Title,
but not the graphic. What is going on here?

In Tools=>Options=>Print is the box to print
drawing objects checked on?
