Why doesn't Wordart show all the fonts that are available for text

I reformatted my hard drive and reinstalled Publisher. Now when I open my
old files the Lucinda handwriting font is no longer available in all my
publications with Word Art. The font still appears and is usable in a text
box. I think that several other fonts are missing from the Wordart list too.
Help!

What version Publisher? Did you try a detect and repair?

I don't know why some fonts would be missing from the WordArt list, I know I
have quite a few missing. It maybe because WordArt uses a smaller font folder.

Do you use a font manager? Fonts must be installed to be used as WordArt. I do
have Lucinda fonts in the WordArt list.

When you reformatted your hard drive, where did you store your fonts? How did
you re-install them?

I have Publisher 2003. I don't use a font manager. I have never used
anything except the fonts that came with the program. I did a detect and
repair and now Lucida Handwriting is no where. Perhaps it was with Publisher
2000 and so I kept the font when I upgraded. I searched the Microsoft Office
2000 CD and tried to find the fonts listed on there thinking that I could
just install it as a font but I couldn't get windows to see any fonts on the
CD and I couldn't find Lucida Handwriting. I give up. Perhaps I'll just buy
a new font that looks something like that to insert into all my client's
files. What a pain!

Insert Disk 2, right-click the drive in Windows Explorer, click explore, open
the OFFCD_2.CAB zip file, scroll down to lhandw.ttf, drag it to the font folder
in the control panel.
