Why don't hyperlinks work in incoming email messages?

Using Outlook 2003; hyperlinks prompt me to open a .exe file in dialog box.
Where do I find the setting to change so that hyperlinks take me to
websites???

Point it to IEXPLORE.EXE or reset your web settings in Control Panel->
Internet Options or Default Programs

Thank you so much; I found that IE was not the default browser, and by making
it so, this solved my problem. Thanks!
