why don't my dates adjust when I change the duration?

When I change my duration from 3 to 4 days, the dates still show 3 days,
Start: Mon 07/16/07 Finish: Wed 07/18/07. How do I get the dates to adjust
to my changes?

Perhaps F9 (Calculate). Tools/Options/Calculations... set to Automatic.

Dates will not change if there are constraints holding them.... you didn't
type the dates did you?
Start dates will not change if %Complete>0

After you check for constraints, and find none, try temporarly setting the
task to 100% and set the finish date, then reset the % to 0%. Check for
constraints and if you have the task resource loaded, check your settings and
Resource Schedule pane for erroneous dates.
