why is clip art not displaying properly in word?

I use Micrisoft Word 2003 SP1 and it has developed an annoying habit of not
displaying clip art properly: let me explain. I can get an image, inset it
into the document, then it disappears! all I get is a white area, and I only
know the art is there if I click on the box. Suprisingly, if I use thumbnail
view, all the clipart is visible. Any and all help appreciated!

You might be experiencing problems related to your graphic gard driver. Take
a look in the answer posted by Bob Buckland ?:) in reply to the
question: "Why do my pictures keep disappearing from view?"

Reducing the graphics card acceleration (a lot) helped for me, so I updated
the driver from 6.14.3xxx to 6.14.4xxx (a rather minor update i would expect)
and voila it works with full graphics card acceleration.
