why is my powerpoint page scrambled when some people try to view i

I have created a large catalogue using powerpoint. I have played it myself
on 2 different computers and it was fine. One of our customers tried it
today and the first page is all out of whack. The font settings are all
scrambled - but it's only on the first page...the rest of the document worked
fine...

Which font did you use? If it's one, which is not automatically installed
with Windows or PowerPoint (different versions of these programs install
different fonts), then it is replaced by another font, causing such
scramble. Make sure that your customer has all fonts used in this
presentation installed.

Hi Ute, thanks for your response. The font on the first page is on all of
the other 55 pages of the doc....but the only difference is the font size in
this case. Front page has v. large font....might be the reason???

Hi Bib,

if it is a case of font problems, they will be more visible in large sizes.
Can you please tell me the name of the font? Ask your customer to open the
presentation and then click on Format - Change fonts. Open the top list with
the small triangular arrow. Does he see any question marks? Especially next
to the main font of the document? If so, the font is not installed on his
computer or is not working correctly. In that case either he can install the
font or you can embed it into the presentation (which might shift the
problems to license problems, depending on the PowerPoint version you use).
