Why is text overlapped in viewing a Power Point presentation?

when viewing Power Point presentations sent to me, often part of the text is
'overlapped"....words are on top of one another. how do I fix that so I can
view it properly? I've tried respacing the text, and making the margins
narrower, and nothing helps! help!

I suspect it was created with a font that is not on your system. Can you
check with whoever sent it to you?
