Why so much "snark" with replies?

I don't understand why so many of the answers to questions are accompanied by
a slap or a jab?

Is the idea to help people and get them to like Publisher? Why the mean edge?

I think that most of the people who post a QUESTION are:
- newbies
- think they are speaking directly to Microsoft
- are really interested in Publisher

(I'm not saying you can't vent ---Maybe there should be a "Publisher
Question Answerers' Therapy" category added to the choice of discussion
groups - go vent there and not beat up people who are lost.)

Most responses are quite civil. Most folks are here to help
and understand your comments.

All would benefit by reading the Microsoft rules of conduct
concerning the Newsgroups. However, READ is a four-letter
word. The F1 key is unknown. They will use Google for
everything except to search for information regarding error
codes. For some additional thoughts, read (oops that word
again): http://www.dts-l.org/goodpost.htm
