Why won't wav files in 2003 ppt presentation play automatically?

When I launch my presentation the first time, the wav file will play. If I
stop the presentation then restart it, the wav file will not play. I have
tried the solutions in article 832039 and they do not solve the problem. Can
anyone help me?
