I think a lot of computer manufacturers got to that point. I have no big
problem with them and would buy from them again *if* they had the best value
for my money. We have two of them and this one is 6+ years old and going
strong.

people don't think to open all the little boxes and look inside the

documentation is frequently lost.
Since the software came with the laptop (OEM) Microsoft won't replace
the key.
The only thing that I found on this computer was a small book. And, I
was
trying to use the product key from the bottom of the notebook. I can
not find
any of the software for this computer.
The owner doesn't seem to know where any of the software went to.

This would be the product key on the piece of paper attached to the
Office
CD sleeve that came with the computer or the piece of paper that is
provided
by Gateway (OEM product). It is NOT the product key that is located
on the
bottom of the notebook.
Did you double/triple check to make sure you've entered the correct
product ID number?

I just started working for a private company and I am the only
person in
the
Office setting that runs the computer. The owner just recently
purchased
this
Gateway Notebook and I am trying to activate the MS Office Program,
but
the
activation fails because it says the Product Key # is invalid.
I don't know what to do now. I really need this Office program to
do my
job
here at Feeler Tree Service.
