Will not send but will reply..

I have Outlook2000 ...and I have a strange issue. I can recieve emails
and reply to emails but I cannot send a new email?

What happens when you try? Any error messages? If so, what are they (exact
text please)? Also, what kind of mail account are you using...POP3/SMTP?
IMAP? Other?

No error message.... It goes into the sent folder and appears to be
sent. There are no error messages an I am using a POP3 account. It
will reply to a message though which is throwing me off....?

Have you verified that no recipients at all are receiving your messages? Do
you have Outlook 2000 configured in Internet Mail Only mode or in
Corporate/Workgroup mode? (If you're not sure, look at the second line of
Help | About Microsoft Outlook.)
