will office 97 professional work properly with windows xp pro

I would like to know if office 97 pro will work properly with windows xp pro?
Specifially excel and word.

Hi, jcb. Yes, Office 97 will work with Windows XP. If you have WinXP with
Service Pack 2, you should plan on doing a custom installation in which you
set the Web Authoring Tools to "not available" in the setup options.
