Windows Installer an MS Word

Every time I start MS Word 2002 SP1 whether I start it by
double-clicking on a doc, or use the Start menu, Windows
Installer starts and the message the the installation is
being prepared shows.
After a while it goes away and Word starts.

Is this normal?

Hi Sheryl,

No, that isn't normal. The installer should run the first time you open
Word, and then save those settings so it doesn't have to run again. This is
usually caused by permissions - if you don't have permissions to the Office
registry key, then you can't save the userdata settings. What operating
system are you using?
