windows installer continually trying to instal; deleted trial2007

I downloaded a free trial of office 2007. Once the trial period was finished
all documents opened automatically with a read only of 2007. I decided to
uninstall. Now I have Windows Installer trying to instal all the time. I
cannot open my word 2003 documents. Please help. I am a teacher and need to
use documents for my lessons.
