I get the exact same thing (no application, just Windows) at work. It's a
laptop with Office 2003 and everytime I try to open Excel (3x a week), I
get the same message. It eventually goes away and Excel opens just fine.
(I've read several fixes that involve registry edits but I don't have a
lot of time to find a place where I can hook it into the network and tweak
the registry. Days like today don't leave me much time to "powder my
nose".)
