windows picture and fax viewer not working

I am not able to open any graphics.wpg files in Microsoft Windows picture and
fax viewer. I deleted the wtcpl.cpl file while trying to delete the Wild
Tangent program. Don't know if this is the reason the fax viewer no longer
works. How do I get it back? Not very knowledgable in this area.

I too found that the WPFV did not work. This occurred after I created a CD
with Window's "Write Files to CD" from a folder that contains a number of
..JPG files. When I inserted the CD and selected the WPFV slideshow from the
presented menu, nothing happened and Task Manager showed no running programs.

I then applied the regsvr32 shimgvw.dll action that you recommended and
everything has been fine since. CD's created in the same way have caused
problems (WPFV doesn't run) on some systems and not on others. My question
is what causes shimgvw.dll to become unregistered (or whatever)? My concern
is that this situation could occur again.
