Help
2 years ago I installed Office XP on my laptop and it worked just fine. Then I uninstalled it to install Office 2003 unaware that my pc did not support Office 2003. So now when I attempt to install Office XP it says my OS is not configured to run Office XP. How do I fix this problem?

Try asking in a group that supports your version of the Operating System.

WTF???? Her problem is that Office 2003 installation has failed and now
she cannot reinstall Office XP. This is not an OS problem, this is an
Office problem, probably because, as usual for Office installers, the
registry cannot be cleaned up to remove the inappropriate entries placed
there by the Office 2003 installer. Where else should she go for a
solution to this problem?

OK, here's a possibility. Clean boot your OS, then try the
reinstallation of Office XP. To clean boot WinXP (if this is your OS)
see this KB:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;310353

If your OS is other than WinXP, go to MS support at
http://support.microsoft.com/ Select Search the Knowledge Base. Pick
your OS from the applications list, and enter the search string: clean
boot.
