winmail.dat

One of our user keep receiving winmail.dat as the attachment. But she is
using Outlook 2003 just like everyone else. But when she forward the email to
me, I can read the attachment inside (i.e. no more winmail.dat in my
Outlook).

I tried to uninstall and install Office 2003 on her machine. But the same
happens.

Sorry to saying that the main point here is not how to prevent sending
winmail.dat to somebody cause this is out of our control.

The main focus is why only one of our user who is using Outlook cannot
resolve the winmail.dat while all others can. Is there a bug inside Outlook?
Or are there any settings in Outlook controlling this?

Hi kingsroad,

I know this behavior only if Outlook is the sender and not the receiver.

The winmail.dat file gets normally only the receiver if he do not use
Outlook but the sender sent an email in "Rich-Text-Format".

Outlook is your default e-mail client?

Did you try it with a new Outlook profile?
