wmf image edges are cut off

Hi
I am using CorelDraw X3 to create images. I then export them as .wmf files.
When I then insert them into Word 2007 (or any other Office program), the
right edge and sometimes the bottom edge of the image appears to be cut off.

I have looked for updated graphics filters for Office 2007, but cannot find
any. Is there a specific setting that I need to ensure these exported images
have? Is there a setting in Word that needs to be changed?

I have a brand new laptop with an Invidia Quadro 2500M card. However, this
problem is NOT specific to my system.

Could it be a problem with Office 2007? As I do not have the same issue when
inserting images into Word 2003.

I was looking to see if there were any graphic filter upgrades for Office
2007 as there are for earlier versions, but to no avail.

any other suggestions??

Hi Laurie,

There are no filter additions that have come out since the Office 2007 release, but old ones would still be in place if you
upgraded over an older version of Office.

MS Office 2007 has a new graphics processing engine and some of the Corel produced formats have in the past been a problem.
What happens if you save the same graphic as an EMF or a PNG and use Insert=>Picture from file into a new Word 2007 document?

How large are these graphics (dimensions)

Even though your laptop is new, the software driver it shipped with when built may not be the now current one from the card/PC
maker's website so you may want to check on that also.

Hi Bob

Updating the graphics driver made no difference. Besides this issue exists
on more than one system (with difference graphics cards) (and older versions
of Word appear fine). I did find though, that Corel cannot export lines
properly into a WMF header.

I changed my lines to solid shapes (layering to create the effect of a line)
and exported. Now the images appear correctly when inserted into Word.

Thanks again.

Laurie
