Won't open attachements

Hi, Outlook XP for some time now, will not open any e-
mails with file attached to it, no matter, what kind of
file is attached. If i klick on that e-mail, the hour
glass comes on, stays on forever, the only way to work
around this problem, is to shut down Outlook, pop up
windows comes up saing, that Outlook is not responding,
then I have to restat to Safe Mode, then I can open or
save the attachement.

Sounds like you need to update or re-install your virusscanner. When you
start in save mode the add-in of the virusscanner is not loaded and therefor
will let you open the attachment.
