Word 2000 Graphic Import

Cary

Hello. I am importing a jpg file of a bar code into MS word, but am having
issues with the viewable size of the image once it is imported. The image
shows up as being 80% of normal size, but when I go to change it to 100% the
option shows that it is already at 100%. I tried deleting the normal.dot file
but to no avail. Anyone have any other ideas?

Hi Cary,

JPG is one of the graphic formats that has the
ability, but not a requirement, to store within
the graphic the Pixels per Inch (PPI) value to
be used by other programs/viewers in 'sizing'
the graphic (as there is no defined size for
a pixel).

If you're using Insert=>Picture=>From File
in Word and the graphic does not include
a PPI value then Word tends to use the value
in Tools=>Options=>General=>Web Options=>/Pictures\

If you change that value, go back to your document
and use Format=>Picture does the 'original size'
change values?
