word 2003 does not display graphics

I created a document in word 2000 that had a graphics logo. I recently
upgraded to word 2003. Now when I open the documents I created previously the
graphics logo does not show. In its place is the following {PRIVATE}.
Has any one experienced this before.

Press Alt+F9.

Suzanne,
Thanks for your reply. I tried your suggestion with no luck. This is what I
did

Pressed ALT+F9 with the cusor on the word {PRIVATE} as follows:
I did it at the beginning of the _ {PRIVATE}
then I tried in the middle of {PR IV ATE}
then I tried at the end of {PRIVATE }
then I tried the entire selection {PRIVATE} and no luck.

It shouldn't matter where your insertion point is: Alt+F9 toggles field
codes in the entire document. Assuming that { PRIVATE } is a field code,
this should make it reveal something. If it isn't a field code, then I have
no clue what it is meant to be.

{PRIVATE} is field code that is occasionally seen when converting from Word
Perfect. I have never seen it when converting from earlier Word versions. I
have never known it to contain viewable content.
