Word 2003 freezes the p.c.

[catsystems]

This is a p.c. running Windows XP Pro SP1 and Office 2003 Pro for the
past year without any problems. In the last 2 x weeks the p.c. has been
constanly freezing but only in word. When we look at the event viewer
it gives the following:-

Faulting Application Winword.exe, Version11.0.6502.0, Stamp 424d964d,
faulting module winword.exe. Debug........

All the other posts refer to replacing the printer drivers and deleting
the .tmp files. We have done this but still the problem persists.

Has anybody come up with a definitive answer for this coz MS haven't
