Word 2003 - How to stop indenting on list

I have several styles defined for lists and applying the style works fine,
but when I restart the first item in the list, Word automatically indents the
list item number and changes the tab and hanging indent. How do I stop Word
from changing this? I have the "Style based on" set to None.
