Word 2003 shrinking all graphics pasted from Corel 10

When I paste graphics from CorelDraw 10 in Word XP or earlier versions, the
graphics remain the same size. However, pasting into Word 2003, the graphics
are shrunken. I took a square 100x100mm and pasted into Word and the size
shown and printed in Word is 85.7x85.7mm.

How do I correct this problem?

Hi T.,

Check in Tools=>Options=>General=>Web Options
to see what the Pixels per Inch (PPI) setting is
on the 'Pictures' tab.

When a graphic does not store information
in the graphic for the PPI value Word will
use its own values to determine size.
Pixels do not have a fixed size.

Thanks for replying. Unfortunately, this didn't help. The PPI was set to 96
so I changed it both to 72 and 120 to see if it would make any difference -
but it didn't.

I would appreciate any other suggestions.

Thanks,

Richard

Tried something different and found that if I Paste Special as 'Picture
(Windows Metafile) or 'Device Indendant Bitmap' they both paste very quickly
and near as much to size give or take 0.21 or 0.82mm. However, if I paste as
a CorelDraw 10 or 'Picture Enhanced Metafile' the size goes back down to
85.7mm2. However, if I paste as normal, I am now getting an error coming up
asking me to save now as there is insufficent memory, which is not true. But
in the explanation it mentioned about a possible incompatability with a virus
software. This I removed anyway as it was incompatable with other software.

I would appreciate your comments.

Hi Richard,

Did you repaste the graphic after changing it?
If you're adjusting already pasted graphics then
select a graphic after making the PPI change and
see what Format=>Picture shows as far as percentage
of original and if the 'reset' button corrects the
size.

Hi Bob,

Yes, I repasted it before adjusting and it still showed the original picture
size incorrectly.

It is strange - yes? Pasting between Corel 10 and Word 97, 2000 and XP is
all OK, but not 2003.

Regards,

Richard
