Word 2007 SP1 crash upon closing

H

HR

When Page Layout is changed through the Ribbon or the old Page Setup dialog
box, Word 2007 SP1 will crash. This occurs on Windows XP and Vista. For
example, open a blank document, click on Page Layout, change margins to
narrow and then close Word. Word will ask to save the file, after answering
yes or no, it will crash.

Any suggestions?

Are both systems using the same printer? This sounds like a corrupt or
incompatible printer driver.

Hi,

See below. A lot of peoples have the same problem with the driver of somes
HP photosmart printers. Look your error message and see if the hpz3r5ha.dll
or something like that is there.
Last drivers dont resolve this problem. The only way to workaround is
unselect the printer as the default one.

Good luck.

Thanks. It is the HP printer F4100. Unselected it as the default printer and
Word stopped crashing.

I was able to fix the problem on my laptop by downloading just the print
driver for my Photosmart D7620 printer. I still have the advanced printer
features and works over my wireless network, but not all the other add ons.
