Word Art in Office Professional/XP doesn't show the image.

i have reinstalled Office Professional, installed all updates and Word still
does not show the Word Art image on the screen, just the box where it should
display.

Hi R.L.,

Are you in Print Layout view?

Have you turned off [x] Picture Placeholders in Tools=>Options=>View?

Does it appear in File=>Web Page Preview?

I'm having the same problem with two computers. One is a laptop with a 256Mb
Radeon 9800 Mobility Graphics Card, Windows XP Pro and Office XP. The other
is a desktop with an ATI Radeon 9600XT-4 256Mb Card and Wondows XP Pro and
Office XP installed.

When the Word window does not have focus and another window is dragged over
the Word window, the pictures can be seen perfectly, but as soon as I select
the Word window again they disappear.

The pictures also do not appear in print preview but print correctly.

I have a laptop running XP Home and office XP with a 64Mb Radeon Mobility
card which works perfectly.

I have already tried turning off the hardware graphics acceleration as
suggested elsewhere, but this did not solve the problem

Has anybody an idea what I could try to diagnose this problem correctly? To
my knowledge all my drivers are up to date.
