word count with powerpoint

Please tell me how to count number of words in the powerpoint file. I have 45 slides of ppt and I need to count the number of words (which were typed using text box) in that file. The PPT version is 2002 and I use XP professional. Thank you in advance.

Properties
"Statistics"
shows the number of words and paragraphs

One word of warning: This counts all words in placeholders, autoshapes, and
text boxes IF they are on an actual slide. It doesn't count words on master
slides or words included in graphs. (Don't know what else it excludes, but
these are the two that always affect my word count.)

I know it does not count words in notes, vba routines, & user forms.

Does count words in text boxes that are not positioned on the screen.
