Word document - properties

Hi

Does anyone know how the date information is stored in a
Word 2000 document?

Something strange has happened to a document I created
two years ago but it says I created it in August 2004.

And if I modify the order files appear in Explorer (by
using Arrange Icons by Name for example) the properties
tab says I accessedthe document on the day I reordered
the icons!
