Word Documents with Images/Photos.

How do I keep word from crashing when working with images? I have a new
Pentium 4 machine with 256 MB of Ram, and my computer Word application
constantly crashes when I work with large image files or photos inside my
documents. I used to work with Windows 2000 Professional and now I have
Windows XP with the latest version of word. This problem never used to
happen and now it happens all of the time.

What version of Word are you using? If XP or 2003, can you close the file,
then from Word go to File->Open, browse to the file, select it, click on the
drop-down arrow next to the Open button and select Open and Repair? Perhaps
there is a problem with the file.

Can you replicate the problem with other files?

Does it happen if you close all other programs?

What is the file size of these documents?
