I am having a similar problem to some other posts, namely that Word, Excel
and Access files wont open correclty when clicked on in Windows Explorer.
I have re-registered word and Excel to no avail, tried without Zone Alarm
and anti-Spyware running, no copies of officeav.dll.
On clicking on one of these files Explorer seems to freeze, and then the
application may suddenly open some time later with out the filee being opened.
All other file associations seem to behave normaly, even PowerPoint.
The one thing that these 3 apps have in common is that they have an entry in
the "DDE message" section of the "Use DDE" part of the file association
settings, whilst none of the apps that work correctly do (everything else
that I tried!).
Does anyone have any ideas what is going on?
