Word for MaCOSX unexpectedly quits

Word for MacOSX unexpectedly quits after opening the splash
screen. I have followed Microsoft's instructions by
replacing the normal template, checking fonts conflicts,
font cache menu u corruption, and upgrading Mac OS. Can
anyone suggest any other things to try?

Hi Alan,

You may want to post this to the Macintosh Word newsgroup (you'll see
it if you expand the Word branch on the web interface). We're
primarily PC users around here.
